SCULPTURE:

Cayuga Playground: The City gardener for twenty-some years filled this park with art, some incorporating living plants, 1 block from my home in San Francisco. I had the privilege of working with him for a while.

City Museum of St Louis: Incredible 5 stories of climbable, slideable etc sculpture collaged out of found/recycled materials. One of the best places in the whole world, and the web site is great. I assume the bland name helps get grants. It's a sin to visit St Louis and not spend an afternoon in this place.

Crochet Coral Reef

The Watts Towers:Heroic feat of inspired found-object architecture/sculpture by Simon Rodia, an immigrant tilesetter who started building it at age forty and continued for thirty years. I made a pilgrimage to see this for real quite recently. I have yet to find a website that does it justice.

Michael Christian: Fabulous sculptures, great site.
