We don't have a squire or other leader-type person; we make decisions by informal consensus, with different people taking leadership roles for different tasks and events (no, we're not an anarcho-syndicalist collective!).

Although we currently have a quorum for performance purposes, the Nettles are looking for two or three dancers (no dance experience is necessary) and a drummer or other loudish instrument player (accordion, anyone?) with the patience to play the same tunes over and over at our weekly rehearsals.

We are looking for people who "play well with others" and will enjoy the creative, sometimes silly, sometimes repetitive process of putting together and rehearsing dances.

Our kit is black trousers or leggings or tights (at the individual dancer's whim), with a forest green tunic (decorated, once again, at the dancer's whim). We are not kit fascists, and will happily alter or abandon our kit to suit the occasion: we dressed as pirates for the PEERS Pyrate Ball, in black with masks for the PEERS Mask of Zorro Ball, and in an assortment of wedding-guest outfits for various team weddings. Not to mention the St. Stupid's Day Parade...
